My name is Dustin. I’m a husband, father, and truck driver who's also a tech enthusiast who runs a business called Pike IT Solutions where I help small business with their IT needs. I also have a homelab where I host websites and virtual machines. Outside of that, I have a hobby of photography.
Married back in 2014, My wife and I have 3 wonderful children. I thank God for them every day. As a Christian, I am called to love my wife as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25) and to bring my children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). They are the motivation that keeps me going.
This website is proudly self-hosted from my personal homelab, which consists of multiple servers running Proxmox for virtualization, pfSense for advanced network routing, and other services I’ve built from the ground up. My homelab not only powers this site but also supports custom Minecraft Bedrock and Java servers. The main server is a HP DL380 with dual Xeon 8244s and 96 gigs of ram and I'm proud of it.
I enjoy taking pictures of nature and people too. I've done weddings, engagements, graduations and family photos.
I take pictures while I'm out and about occasionally getting some good shots. My daily carry is a Nikon Z5 with a 50mm "Nifty 50" prime lens.
He's Such a Good Boy!
This is my Lab Duke. He has learned tricks quickly. He is 16 months old. He knows how to fetch, sit, lie down, heel and shake. In his pastime he loves to find squirrels and chase them around the yard. He loves to catch them and well, it doesn't end well for the squirrel. I purchased him from a local breeder shortly after my dog Boomer died in October of 2024.
I’m currently focused on earning my Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification while deepening my expertise in core networking concepts. This project includes hands-on practice with VLANs, routing, switching, firewall configurations, and network troubleshooting in both virtual lab environments and real hardware setups. My goal is to strengthen my skills in designing and managing secure, scalable networks to support future professional opportunities.
I also am working on a webserver as well. I have 3 websites running on it and I also am utilizing my webserver as a proxy to forward web traffic to internal servers.
